I purchased my first hydroponic growing system online about a month ago. This system was the RainPoint. I instantly became hooked on this fascinating growing method and recently purchased an inbloom. This is slightly more compact than the former and can be great for someone with limited space. You can watch my unboxing and setup on Youtube below.
inbloom is an Irvine, California based gardening company passionate about improving the health and lifestyle of users through gardening. Their mission is to bring the joys of indoor gardening to urban users any time and any where. You can definitely see that in the size and shape. It also only requires 4 liters of water.
I love attention to detail and was surprised to see the box had a handle on the top for easy carrying. The box measures as follows: width – 6.5 inches, length – 16 inches and height – 7 inches
What’s Inside the Box
Along with the system: 12 grow baskets, 12 grow sponges, 12 name tags, 12 grow domes, 12 foil stickers, 5 pod lids, A&B plant food and a power adapter
The ideal temperature for this unit is 65-76°F
This is the inbloom next to the RainPoint. As you can see they both have a maximum height of 19.4 inches. The minimum height for the inbloom is 7.6 inches.
I prepped my system as the instructions read. These are pretty straight forward. You plug in the power source and light. Fill the appropriate amount of water. I always fill to the max line, which is 4L in this case. Then I added the plant nutrients, seeds, domes and stickers.
On the left side I planted cilantro because it’s one of my favorite herbs and I eat it almost daily. On the right side I planted lettuce because that’s another plant I eat daily. I will report back in one month to let you know how the progress goes.
